Hammond Housing Authority

This is a multi-phase substantial rehab and renovation project of 45 existing buildings, for a total of 74 dwelling units. Modified buildings are single-story brick veneer masonry, of three different types and floor plans, with single family units from 910 square feet to duplex units ranging in individual size from 535 square feet to 840 square feet.

Exterior modifications included new asphalt shingle roofs, gutters and downspouts, Energy Star rated windows, heavy duty storm doors, and installation of new covered porches and façade details. All walls and interior finishes are completely new and updated with high efficiency mechanical systems, fixtures, and appliances. Overall site modifications include new unit landscaping defining individual unit boundaries, new sidewalks and ADA ramps where required, and a community garden area complete with a gazebo for residents to enjoy.
